To help our customers stay TCPA compliant when capturing lead information, ClubReady has added two new checkboxes to the ClubReady Branded registration and lead forms:
1. Required Checkbox – Users must check this box to create an account:
"By signing up and using our website, you agree to our Terms and Conditions
and Privacy Policy."
(Both documents will be linked.)
2. Optional Checkbox – Users can choose to opt in to receive promotional text messages:
"By checking this box, I acknowledge that I will receive promotional text messages. Message frequency varies. I can opt-out at any time by replying STOP. Text HELP for help. Standard message rates may apply."
PLEASE NOTE: This feature will only be enabled if a feature flag is turned ON by ClubReady staff.
How does it work?
The first checkbox is required for a user to create a new account. The checkbox will read "By signing up and using our website, you agree to our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy." Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy will be linked to the brand’s terms of conditions and privacy policy URL pages.
When clicking the hyperlinked Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy from the first checkbox, a pop window will appear displaying the URL webpage.
The second checkbox is optional for a user to select when creating a new account. If checked, the user is opted in to SMS promotional messaging in ClubReady. The second checkbox will read "By checking this box, I acknowledge that I will receive promotional text messages. Message frequency varies. I can opt-out at any time by replying STOP. Text HELP for help. Standard message rates may apply."
How are the Terms of Conditions and Privacy Policy linked?
Two new fields are added in the brand’s PIQ site under Manage > Site Settings. The fields are titled “Terms and Conditions URL:” and “Privacy Policy URL:”. The brand will enter their URL links into these fields and click Update to save those links.
